Dal toor and masoor 200 gm.
Butter 3 tablespoons 3 tablespoons
Onion finely chopped
100 gm.
Tomato chopped 50 gm.
Garlic finely chopped 50 gm
Turmeric powder
10 gm.
Salt to taste

Coriander leaves

10 gm.

Cumin powder 10 gm.
Red chili powder 10 gm.
Mustard seeds 10 gm.
Green chili 5 gm.


Heat half of the butter in a pan. Add mustard seeds ,green chilli chopped, half of the chopped onion and garlic and saute till golden and add chopped tomatoes.

Add turmeric powder chili powder and cumin powder and boiled dal, two cups of water and salt to taste. Stir and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer for twenty minutes.Add this seasoning to the dal, simmer for two minutes and remove from heat. Serve hot, and garnish chopped coriander leaves.
